Desert - "Saps prou bé"

Desert - "Saps prou bé"

Here's a recommendation for something that was sent to me, all the way from Barcelona. The Spanish two piece Desert is about to release their new EP Envalira on June 10th, and have dropped a single from it, a song entitled "Saps prou bé". After a couple listens, I definitely found some very admirable and enjoyable features within this 6 minute glittering electronic piece. The track definitely reminds me of a Spanish version of Grimes or Purity Ring, filled with lush layers of synths and sprinkled with hypnotic vocals from front woman Cristina Checa. The second half of Desert, producer Eloi Caballé, makes the track shimmer with bright and twinkling synths that I found pretty enjoyable. "Saps prou bé" is a pretty solid song, and if it's any hint as too what Envalira will sound like, I'll definitely be anticipating its release in a few weeks now. Desert is definitely a band to watch. Check em out.
